"Wait! You have a podcast?"

So…where do I begin? Like most people who have long commutes to work I need something to block out the noise from my fellow commuters. Besides who the hell wants to hear fellow passengers conversation about some BS that happened the night before or how they hate the job that provides for their family.

But I digress; I have a few podcasts that I listen to that fill the 70 minutes on the train. At the end of every episode, I always had a nagging question…could I create my own podcast? Hmm...I spent months researching the best equipment and formats for beginners. I even took a class that was all day on a Saturday. I said screw it! Let’s shoot our shot and see what happens. My wife and I talk all the time about every topic under the sun. People think we have this great relationship which we do but its predicated on how we communicate with each other. For the record she has a lovely podcast voice, I’m jealous but she doesn’t know that. So we recorded a few episodes to get the hang of the equipment and we both had an “ah ha” moment. Damn we sound great together, but we also realized that we have great chemistry on the mic. I wonder if this was how Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell felt singing “Aint no mountain high enough” or Kindred the Family Soul singing “Where would I be?” The point is; its easier to have chemistry with someone you love and no I’m not talking about your work spouse!

Finally...I’m excited to announce that I have started my own podcast with my lovely co-host/wife Stacey Michelle. Speak Therapy the Podcast. Straight talk; no chaser. And that’s exactly what it is. Nothing is in or out of bounds. Make 2020 a great year.
